Who we are

Cistite.info APS is the largest Italian social promotion association dealing with urogenital conditions. For more than fifteen years we have been helping women of all ages overcome painful moments caused by cystitis, urinary and genital infections, pelvic contractures and other rarer conditions.

We promote discussion among patients and dialogue with health professionals. Dialogue with Patients is essential because only by understanding their challenges, the successes and the limitations of current treatments is it possible to develop increasingly effective therapeutic strategies and provide solutions that better meet their needs, improving their quality of life. From all this comes a body of knowledge that enables the creation of valuable projects and alliances between patients, industry, healthcare, politics and institutions.

By conveying the needs and expectations of patients, we fund and promote targeted research, provide a substantial caseload of carefully selected Patients to initiate focused clinical studies, collaborate with pharmaceutical companies in the development of innovative products, and establish agreements in favour of our members for highly selected specific products.

A committed and shared effort among all the stakeholders involved in the care and management of patients affected by chronic pelvic conditions (patients, general practitioners, specialist doctors, healthcare professionals, commercial entities, multidisciplinary centres, pharmaceutical companies) is necessary in order to create genuine collaborative care networks, which can only bring benefits to every key player involved.

Our digital tools

The association has made dialogue and understanding its cornerstone and provides a well-organised Forum and a Facebook group through which it is possible to receive help, share one’s story and ask questions to experts. Here, users are directed towards specific and effective solutions by our moderators and by the professionals who collaborate with the association.

Our website, constantly updated and well positioned in organic searches across different search engines, offers hundreds of accurate and detailed informational articles, complemented by numerous references to the profiles that make up the agreements section.

The association is also active on Instagram and YouTube, where it regularly publishes new multimedia content, tutorials and informational material.
