Who we are
We are a NO-PROFIT social promotion association made up of women affected by uro-genital conditions who volunteer in support of women facing the same issues.
We are involved in health education aimed at promoting women’s health and preventing pelvic disorders through information leaflets, our website, various social media channels, videos, demonstrations and events.
Cistite.info APS promotes awareness of the female intimate area through knowledge of the uro-genital system, the issues connected to it and the ways to keep it healthy.
Cistite.info APS, thanks to the experience gained over 20 years of working closely with women, is the point of reference for those suffering from chronic cystitis and complex pelvic conditions such as vulvodynia, neuropathy, pelvic floor hypertonicity, chronic pelvic pain, interstitial cystitis, etc...
Objectives
- Through our social media channels, our forum and our Facebook group, we welcome women who feel alone and misunderstood due to the chronic nature of their condition and support them by offering practical advice, moral support and financial support.
- The association offers women the opportunity to learn about their own bodies and urological and genital diseases, to receive direct support and targeted advice, to engage with other women affected by the same issues, and to interact with doctors specialised in the field.
- The association contributes to research by collaborating with doctors and universities in order to find new and increasingly effective solutions to these problems, which are as common as they are debilitating.
- It works to seek new agreements with companies, healthcare professionals and manufacturers of food supplements so that members can obtain savings on the expenses they must face in order to receive treatment.
- Cistite.info APS acts as an intermediary between women affected by pelvic conditions and political, healthcare and social leaders, serving as their spokesperson to ensure that their requests are heard and met.

Cistite.info APS is a non-profit association; however, it is not without running costs. To cover expenses, we self-finance our activities through:

- Voluntary donations
- 5x1000 from income tax returns
- Sponsorships

Why was the association founded?
My name is Rosanna Piancone, a Registered Nurse who in the past suffered for years from uro-genital conditions such as thrush, cystitis and pelvic contracture. After recovering, I felt the need to make my experience and my studies available to other women who are still unwell, to help them along their path of understanding and recovery.
Entering the world of Cistite.info APS means having professionals and tools by your side to better understand and deal with your pelvic issues. Scientific Committee
The Cistite.info APS association has established a high-profile Scientific Committee whose fundamental purpose is to bring together leading healthcare professionals, recognised for their proven experience and expertise in the fields relevant to the association’s activities. The primary objective of this Committee is twofold: to guarantee the highest quality and rigorous scientific accuracy of all the initiatives, research and informational materials produced by Cistite.info APS, while at the same time ensuring their continuous updating in line with the most recent evidence and developments in the medical and healthcare fields.
